Symmetry Medical Inc. announced today that its subsidiary Symmetry Surgical, Inc. has has completed a distribution agreement in Australia and New Zealand with Device Technologies Australia, PTY Ltd.

Partnership Supports Strong Base of Existing Business and Opens Market to Additional Symmetry Surgical Brands

(NYSE:SMA), a leading global source of innovative medical device solutions, including surgical instruments, orthopedic implants, and sterilization cases and trays, announced today that its subsidiary Symmetry Surgical, Inc. has completed a distribution agreement in Australia and New Zealand with Device Technologies Australia, PTY Ltd. for the distribution of its direct surgical product portfolio. Under the agreement, Device Technologies will offer leading brands from Symmetry Surgical, formerly Codman Surgical Instruments, and SSi.

Device Technologies has been a major supplier of leading edge medical devices and technologies to hospitals and healthcare professionals in Australia and New Zealand for over 20 years. Its comprehensive range of medical products is supported by over 230 highly trained product specialists, clinical educators, service engineers and regulatory affairs personnel to provide superior outcomes for medical staff and their patients.
